swatchy things

So here are some swatch-type things I have been knitting up of late:

This is the one I promised earlier. This picture actually turned out pretty true colorwise on my monitor. This is the experiment in rit dying that I tried. I like the color variations, but it could be better.

Next up is this variegated cotton I was working with. I don't like variegated yarn with ribbing and this is why:

Last, but not least, is a double strand of the valley cotton that I got. I think this will be made into a tank. Again, the color is fairly true on my monitor:

That's it for tonight.

The first link is broken! Also, I still don't see why ribbing in particular with variegated yarn is bad. I blame the type of variegation over the ribbing. I like much shorter bursts of color as a ratio to yarn thickness.

You fixed the link! It's very pretty. See, I like variegation like that. Wait, are those cables? Cool!

"mock cables" -- they are!

Also, let's not talk about that link being broken. It took me over an hour to upload those 6 pictures. And it wasn't done when I finished posting, so I just posted anyway. Blah.
