Resolutions are such tricky beasts.
Much like anyone else, I've made and then broken a number of them of the course of my life. However, every so often I'll try them again – it's usually an arbitrary decision – and then actually succeed. For example, during my senior year of college, my roommate and I tried to stop drinking pop; we both failed rather miserably within a few weeks. But so far this year, I've been pretty good at keeping my no-pop New Year's Resolution (minus the occasional good root beer & Clearly Canadian for nostaligia's sake).
Much like the Chaotic One, I've begun running again. Running is such an on/off affair for me. I think this last week is the first time in 4-5 years I've been seriously (def. more than once every half year) running.
The odd thing about my restart in running is that it was another of those whims I decided to indulge in: I came home after my weekend in C-U, decided "It's too nice a day to stay indoors. I'm going to run in the park." and that was that.
I'm hoping that the randomness of my resolution is a good sign for my running future.
Hey, maybe we can help motivate each other, even if we can't exactly go running together.
