ow, my liver

I have the Martian Death Flu(tm). I don’t know where I got it, but I’ve had it ALL WEEK. Fever of almost 103, coughing fits until you puke, total delirium, randomly blacking out, having conversations with your mother that you don’t later remember, whatever. It sucks ASS. Did you all get your flu shots, children? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

In other news, I am going to an open house on Sunday - if I am capable of leaving the house by then, for the love of god - to meet this guy. I had to fill out an application with references and everything. Who knew?

And now, just to add some supernatural beauty to your day, here are some ghosty pictures for you to look at.
* Attic Ghost
* Basement Ghost
* Bedroom Ghost
* Kitchen Ghost

Don’t you feel spookier already?

Time passes differently when your body isn’t itself. Since last Saturday night, I’ve spent all but a few hours in bed. Days faded in and out, and I woke up on several occasions not knowing whether the dark outside indicated night or early morning. I can’t even begin to describe the dreams I’ve been having - horrible, awful, fantastic dreams that I couldn’t analyze if I tried. At this point, it’s tricky to decide what of this week has been real and what hasn’t. If I had a conversation with you - at any point this week - and don’t remember it, it’s nothing personal. I promise. I guess I’ve just been taking a break from the world.

Uno looks perfectly nice, but as a long-time cat owner I should warn you (although you may already know this) long haired cats in general can be quite the challenge when it comes to shedding issues. Once the weather warms up, be prepared for daily brushings, which even then will not completely eliminate the large masses of shed fur you will find pretty much everywhere.

yeah, I know. I’ve had long-haired dogs since I was 11, and it’s pretty similar. I just can’t justify getting a cat that isn’t FLUFFY. They’re not nearly as fun if they aren’t FLUFFY! ;)

Of course, if I get there and meet him and am instantly covered in brand-new-sweater, I might reconsider. The lady who runs this company takes care of forty-some cats.

I’m sorry baby. I know how you feel.

Lots of sleep and water, kiddo. Just flush it out and ride the snake.

Just don’t expect us allergic types to visit.

Bill @ 10:11 PM | 2004/01/08

Yeah, I’d feel bad about that, except THEN I’d remember that said allergic type grew up with a cat and I’d just remind him to stock up on Claritin before crashing on my futon. ;)

freesia @ 12:17 PM | 2004/01/09

Except that this certain party didn’t even develop that allergy till he’d already left for college.

Aforementioned @ 10:36 PM | 2004/01/09

And Claritin is wussy. Zyrtec is where it’s at, y’all. Or possibly Clarinex.

Aforementioned Again @ 10:39 PM | 2004/01/09

Oh, Boo-Hoo-Hoo for aforementioned allergic type! I would feel very, very bad for him for having such a difficult lot in life. To compensate, I would do my very best to assuage his (obviously aching) masculine ego by making up said futon in Lumberjack Sheets before his arrival. :P

freesia @ 10:09 AM | 2004/01/10

Thank you.

Aforementioned @ 12:25 PM | 2004/01/10

You’re welcome! I always try to be the hostest with the mostest. Later, if you’re lucky, we’ll go shopping and have buttered scones for tea!
