postscript

Let’s say you overheard someone use the term “deceptively delicious” to describe someone or something. What do you think it means? I have a pretty good idea of what it was supposed to mean, but I think it could be taken a lot of ways. Mostly, I just like saying it. (Now you try.)

it means something looks nasty
but is really quite good
reminds me of some people i’ve known

I would take it the other way round, something that looks delicious but isn’t. Which reminds me of some people I’ve known, too.

I think it means:
“Boy, I sure thought I wasn’t interested in having any Poison Cake, but once I started eating I just couldn’t stop smashing enormous sticky gobs of it into my mouth. I ate so much I couldn’t walk the next day.”

Yeah, that’s about what I took it to mean too.

P.S. I love you, fat boy.

I’m sorto with sashafoo, in the sense that something is delicious, but then it’s real value become known, and you regret tasting, hence the deception.

Think: Wrapping a pill in bacon for your dog.

Isn’t it great how fat boys are always right? I think so.

We pretty much destroy the bell curve.

With the exception of the “not planning to” part, Mol gets a big old gold star.

It’s best not to grade on a curve when we’re around.
