It’s Bentley’s new band! Congrats, boys. Ernie said your 7th Street Entry show was rockin’.
On an unrelated note, I had coffee and hunks of beef for breakfast this morning. I felt like a cowboy.
Here’s a tried-and-true recipe for REAL Cowboy Coffee:
Add 8 rounded tablespoons of ground coffee to a pot with 7 cups cold water.
Hang pot over campfire or place on metal grating if available.
Bring to a boil and percolate for approximately 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, let stand 1 minute.
Add 1 cup very cold water (this is crucial, as it will make the grounds settle to the bottom of the pot. Some people suggest using eggshells, but this method is easier.)
Let stand about 2 more minutes, then serve. Makes 8 cups.
The recipe for “cowboy coffee” that I remember people using in high school involved a pound of grounds, a 24-hour cooking time, and a brick. (Be afraid.)
